Damian Lillard’s Busy All-Star Weekend Featured on The Inside Stuff

As basketball fans know, Damian Lillard, one of the fast rising endorsers of adidas, recently set a record for participating in the most number of NBA All-Star Weekend activities.

“The Inside Stuff” gave us a behind-the-scenes look at Lillard’s busy weekend. This is the online version:

In it, you’ll see Lillard showing off the three D Rose 4.5 colorways he sported for the Skills Challenge, Three Point Shootout and Slam Dunk Contest. There are also some cool bits where Dwight Howard gives him some advice, P. Diddy tries to steal his trophy and Blazers legend Clyde “The Glyde” Drexler greets him.

All in all, we see how busy players still are at the All Star Games. In this last one, none were busier than Damian Lillard.

adidas All Star Kicks 2014: Lillard Sports Four Shoes Today

Damian Lillard, who famously signed up for five events this All Star Weekend, will be participating in three today – the Skills Challenge, 3 Point Shootout and the Slam Dunk Contest.

Not only is he breaking the record for number of events joined, it seems like he’ll also be setting a new record for number of kicks worn this weekend.

Lillard wore the Crazy Quick 2.0 gray colorway during the practice sessions.

He will then don three different colorways of the newly launched D Rose 4.5.

adidas All Star Kicks 2014: Tim Hardaway Jr. Drops 36 in Crazy 8s

Tim Hardaway Jr. dropped a game-high 36 points in the BBVA Rising Stars Challenge, and he did it in the adidas Crazy 8 “All Star” colorway. Although his team lost, Hardaway Jr. had a great performance and even featured in an in-game 3-point shootout against Dion Waiters.

NBA Legend Dikembe Mutombo, known for his defense and finger-wagging antics, showed off his adidas Originals kicks at the All Star Weekend. He also sported a cool All Star jacket by adidas, which showed off his NBA accolades.

adidas Releases “The Blueprint” Shoes Inspired by Kareem in Time for All Star Weekend

adidas Basketball and adidas Originals are releasing shoes inspired by the NBA’s All-Time Leader in Points, Field Goals and MVP Awards, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. They’re releasing them in time for this NBA All-Star Weekend, which again pays homage to the man who also leads the league in All-Star Game Selections and Games Played.

Dubbed “The Blueprint”, the line inspired by Kareem is so far for two limited edition shoes. You have the Crazy 8 “The Blueprint” colorway for basketball, as tweeted by @adidasBasketball below:

You also have sneakers inspired by retro basketball shoes in “The Blueprint” Jabbar Hi, which are going to be released by adidas Originals. Kareem himself tweeted this photo:

The shoes will be available at the adidas in the Quarter store in New Orleans. The Crazy 8s will also sell online.

Oh, and aside from all the records Jabbar still holds to this day, apparently he also caused the dunk to be banned for a few years:
